Meet the doctors

Dr. James is a board-certified pediatric dentist who built this practice around one idea: a dental office can be the highlight of a kid's week. Every themed room, every prize and every Star Night comes from that belief.

He completed dental school and then several additional years of specialty residency training focused entirely on infants, children, teens and patients with special health care needs — including childhood development, behavior guidance and advanced sedation.

Outside the office he's a full-on theme-park nerd, which is exactly why the hallway looks like a mine shaft and the check-out desk looks like an ice-cream parlor.

Dr. Okerstrom earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Puget Sound and her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from Oregon Health & Science University.

She especially loves working with kids and teens, and her favorite moments are guiding an anxious patient from nervous to relaxed. Her most recent continuing education has focused on sedation options so every patient can be as comfortable as possible.

She grew up in Corvallis, has called the Wilsonville area home for over a decade, and lives with her husband, three energetic kids, a bunny and a whole flock of chickens.
